I bought a 3-pound package of ground turkey, and used half of it with the remaining ingredients. Some of the veggies were fresh, others frozen, and I also include frozen blueberries. The remaining ingredient – beef liver – was previously cooked and frozen into batches, and I have been including small pieces in meals many days per week.
Ground Turkey, Blueberries, Liver & More
This nutrient dense recipe includes ground turkey, whole egg with crushed shell, beef liver, blueberries and assorted vegetables.
Place ground turkey in a skillet with about 4 oz, water, Turn to medium heat. Crack a whole egg into the pan, and crush shells thoroughly by hand (carefully as they are sharp!), with a fork or in a coffee grinder. When well crushed, place into pan. Stir everything around so it doesn't stick. After about 5 minutes, the turkey should be almost cooked. At this point you can add your chopped vegetables. Finish cooking - it's done when turkey is cooked through and vegetables are bright and heated through. After cooking, add blueberries and liver. I squish the blueberries up, otherwise they will be eaten whole.
