I am currently discussing milk thistle for dogs, and potential use for liver health, skin health, cancer and so much more.
In my previous articles, I discuss specific uses for milk thistle and I also relate a case study I conducted with my own dog.
Here, I want to share once again that if you decide to purchase milk thistle or any other supplement, it is important to choose a quality source. That means not only good product ingredients, but it also means that where you get it is important.
For example, some of the most famous online vendors have had numerous counterfeit issues. This means you may think you are getting a specific product, but you are not. It may have the same name and the same label, but it is a fake.
The most reliable ways of purchasing milk thistle for dogs, or any other supplement include:
- getting them at your local health food store, or some grocery stores
- purchasing them directly from the company website, for example Thorne Vet which carries a range of supplements. I recently opened an online supplement store with them, so I am able to direct you towards specific products.
- purchasing supplements through a professional dispensary, through a practitioner. This could be a vet, nutritionist or other healthcare provider who hosts an online dispensary and can help you with your supplement choices. I was accepted as a practitioner through Fullscript, and am happy to assist you through there as well. I even offer an extra discount on products there.
Buying a good supplement can make the difference between helping your dog, and not helping or even harming your dog.
Here are the milk thistle items I am currently recommending. More options may be available upon request – just ask me.
