In my recent article about milk thistle, I discussed how this herb is used internally and on the skin.
Milk thistle can be used topically (on the skin), and it may protect again sun damage, as well as skin cancer, notes the Mount Sanai website. In fact, it notes milk thistle may stop cancer cells from reproducing, shorten lifespan of cancer cells, and reduce the blood supply to tumors.

Add skin protection to the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, liver protective properties mentioned in my previous article, my opinion is that it’s part of the first line of defense for skin health.
