Sarah Receives Pet Therapeutic Nutrition Coach Certification

A few months ago, I announced that I received my certification with the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) as a Certified Pet Nutrition Coach.

I am so happy to announce that I have received an additional, more in depth certification from NAVC as a Pet Therapeutic Nutrition Coach. This program delves more deeply into nutritional management for specific health concerns, such as:

  • Dermatology issues – for example itchy skin and ears
  • Allergies and sensitivities
  • Cardiovascular / heart issues
  • Gastrointestinal issues
  • Endocrine issues – diabetes, thyroid problems and more
  • Mobility issues including arthritis in young, adult and senior pets
  • Kidney health and more

NAVC recognizes that nutrition and proper feeding protocols provide a foundation for preventive and therapeutic care.

Whether your dogs are healthy or struggling with health challenges, I look forward to helping you make their diet the best it can be! Please explore my Services pages for ways to connect.

Also, clearly my focus is dogs. But this program does cover health issues in cats as well. So if you have a cat, please feel free to contact me to see if I might help.

Best wishes,

About Dog Food Coach

So many choices… so what dog food is best? With all the information out there, that might sound like a confusing question! But maybe the answer is: Perhaps the best dog food is not “dog food” at all.

Hopefully I can help clarify things for you. Please feel free to sign up for my free newsletter as a first step.

Just like us, our dogs do best on fresh, whole foods. And making that happen can be very simple once you learn a couple tricks of the trade.

Cooking. I have been home cooking for my dogs since 2008, and have learned some things along the way. I’ve also been fortunate enough to connect with some very progressive veterinarians and other pros who have taught me a lot over the years!

Learning. I’ve been studying human and animal nutrition since 1996.

Experiencing and Loving. My work on behalf of animals began long before then, and over the years I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of nonprofit animal protection organizations. I believe my love and concern for animals was inborn, and is not going anywhere. Contact me for help!
